Lake Pickwick Tournament October 7th 2017

This tournament was a qualifier for the Ray Scott national championship to be held in Bossier city Louisiana on the red river April 2 through the eighth of 2018. The tournament was supposed to be a two-day tournament but due to hurricane Nate, the tournament got cut back to a one-day event. The top 20 anglers advanced to the national championship.

I was catching some decent fish on the first day using a Zeldon swayback spook and also a white Terminator spinner bait. The fish were not really staged in a certain area they were kind of spread out anywhere from midway back of to the very back of the pockets. I caught a lot of short fish but I did not go to a couple of my better spots thinking of the second day of fishing.

I missed the cut by a pound and a half not knowing that the tournament was going to be cut short. Overall a good trip, not a bad time and good showing for my sponsors.
