New Look 2020

New look for the 2020 season. Unfortunately, due to the current situation with the Covid-19 virus, many of the tournaments for the 2020 season have been postponed. Can’t wait to hopefully be able to get back on the water soon. Next tournament is scheduled in June. Hope all will be clear and safe so we can catch some good bass. For now, check out the new boat and truck wrap. Also some new sponsors have been added!

Lake Toho/Kissimmee Chain – Bassmaster Eastern Opens January 2020

2020 Season off to a good start. Just got back from fishing the bassmaster opens eastern division on lake Toho/Kissimmee chain. Had a good practice, caught a lot of fish on Kissimmee. On day one, made the one hour run to Kissimmee, was able to capitalize on some fish in this lake. Locked back through to Toho to finish my first day stringer. On day two, stayed on Toho, and was able to catch my limit there. Had a great time, Florida weather was great. Kissimmee is a great place to fish. Special thanks again to all my sponsors including Fitzgerald Rods. Special thanks to my title sponsor Associated Scale. As well as a huge shoutout to Kick’n Bass Fish Attractants. Cant wait until the next tournament in April. The Ray Scott Championship through the American Bass Anglers in South Carolina. Also special shoutout to Scott Patton and Scott Patton Fishing, check him out! He is a super guide on lake Chickamauga as well as Okeechobee.

Oneida Lake – Bassmaster Eastern Opens 09-12-2019

Finished up the 2019 Bassmaster Open series on Oneida Lake in New York. It was a challenge but thanks to the information and tactics from my good friend James Plesinger I was able to catch a few good fish. Throwing a Underspin jig head with a 4” Keitech easy shiner dipped in Kick n Bass gobie and garlic scent was the key to catching some of my bigger fish. I can’t wait to begin the 2020 season in January.

James River – Bassmaster Eastern Opens 08-05-2019

Had a really good tournament on the James River. Fished really well. Was able to keep myself in the hunt with 11 pounds on the first day. Knowing day 2 I needed to back it up with at least 12 to 15 pounds to make the cut. Came up a little short with only 9 pounds. Ended with a total of 20 pounds 7 oz and a 46th place finish out of 196. I really enjoyed fishing the James River. I learned a lot about chasing the tide and finding the fish. Caught most of my fish on a june bug colored sinko dipped in Kick’n Bass Crawfish Scent rigged wacky style on my Fitzgerald Stunner Rods. Special thanks to James and Dave for all their help. Congratulations to Mike Iaconelli for his 1st place finish in this tournament.

Kickin’ Bass

What a great opportunity to join the kick’n bass pro staff team. Ron and his staff of kick’n bass are truly professional in all aspects. With a 6th place finish in the ABA on Lake Barkley could not have been accomplished without kick’n bass fish attractant products. Go out and get some kick’n bass to try for yourself at Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s, and Tackle Warehouse. I’m working on some live filming of how kick’n bass fish attractants work, they will be posted to the website. I appreciate the opportunity to promote and expose the kick’n bass product to the midwest on behalf of Ron and his team. If you have any questions about kick’n bass please email me, rjkgetz17@gmail.com

Kentucky Lake – American Bass Anglers 04-23-2019

American Bass Anglers second stop in the Kentucky division #15. The tournament was held on Lake Barkley fishing out of Kuttawa. With temperatures in the mid 40s, steady rain, and 30 to 40mph wind gust. I didn’t get to spend much time pre-fishing. On tournament day the rain came to an end but the winds were still brutal. Due to the winds, I was unable to fish where I was hoping to. So I made my way into a couple closer areas to the ramp. I was able to catch quite a few fish and end up with a 10th place finish. Most of my fish came on a green pumpkin brush hog with some Kick’n Bass crawfish attractant, fished on a 7’ Fitzgerald Stunner rod Texas rigged with a 3/8 WOO tungsten weight. I was also catching fish on a strike King red eye shad silver and blue.

Lake Eufaula – 2019 Ray Scott Championship Eufaula, Alabama

2019 Ray Scott Championship on Lake Eufaula in Eufaula, Alabama was a pleasure to fish. I was able to make my way to the stage both days with some quality fish. Unfortunately I missed the cut by three pounds but overall had a good tournament. Most of my fish came on a Strike King double willow leaf spinnerbait with a couple coming on a Red Eye shad rattle trap. The fish were kinda scattered throughout the lake with some post spawn, pre-spawn and even some still on beds. I had a great week fishing a lake that I had never fished before. The lake was absolutely beautiful and lake point resort was a great place to stay.
